Pantomime
She loved him in loud silence
her heart cried out in quiet agony
every day that she went unnoticed
led to barren nights lost in chastity
She loved him from a distance
thought she worked by his side
they would be so perfect together
her insecurities dared not confide
She vowed to love him for eternity
her life lacked rhythm or rhyme
she would adore him in loud silence
With a heartfelt pantomime
Beautiful write! Love it. ❤️

Great title for this wonderful piece, Andrew, which details the inability to say what is in the heart. The speaker shows much empathy for the subject and her dilemma. The pantomime – the quiet sufferer. Awesome, my friend!

Oh, unrequited love! It’s very sad, but it happens sometimes. When I was younger, I certainly had the experience more than once of having a crush on someone who looked straight through me like a window.
I don’t think any woman has ever felt that way about me, but I’m not sure. It would be so much easier if they gave a few subtle hints, such as painting their faces like the young woman in the picture.

LOL What amazing words,”she looked through me as if I were a window.” I am sure someone felt that way for you. They kept their love in silence. That, or the cat got her tongue.

Well, I’d find it flattering to think so, although if anybody ever did feel that way about me, I’ve no idea who it was.
I wouldn’t like it so much nowadays, though. I don’t think my wife would take kindly to my having secret admirers. 🙂

Yeah, wife wouldn’t like it. Something about owning you.

I don’t mind, though. It’s quite nice to have someone who cares enough to worry about it. 🙂

No you didn’t. I removed everyone and started again all with good reason I might add.
The good thing is that you are back and I’m right here and everyone is smiling, apart from my hamstrings; they are mostly broken. I’d love to have one of those stretching systems on my bed so I could lie and read and have them stretched slowly over an hour or two.
