A Taste of You

A Taste Of You

Long are the days
lonely are my nights
since I tasted your body
my urges won’t subside
it is your kiss I relish with
a sweet aftertaste I adore
your flavor never fades
you leave me craving more

Moments go by so quick
yet memories forever stay
I’ll always long for your taste
only you can quench this urge
it doesn’t matter where I go
doesn’t matter what I do
life will never be the same
since I had a taste of you

  1. I’m not sure what this says about me but in my head, it’s about the taste of a forbidden one…. that you can’t get out of your head (or anywhere else)… and you’re left wanting more but it can never be. Ah… I love how I now feel like I have to go write that story! Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

  2. Gorgeous, Andrew. Once we have a taste of that love we will want much, much more 🙂 Sizzle level going up as we countdown to Valentine’s day, isn’t it? 🙂

  3. Your writing affects the mind and heart of your readers. The words flow so easily that images in the mind reflexively stimulate sentiments in the heart.

By the way, I was paid big bucks to allow that professional google photographer to shoot this picture of my lips. I could be wrong, but I feel it emasculates me somewhat.

  4. Some delights spoil us for others. There is always the one, single delicacy, we want to savour, over and over and over. You describe this feeling so very well, my friend.

          1. The only thing as good as that desire for more, is the desire for the very first taste. The anticipation of that first kiss. How will it happen? When? Where? Will the reality be as good as my fantasy? So…will it? 🙂

  5. I am really enjoying the result of your mushy mood. Another lovely poem which leaves a lovely taste. One wonders what that taste you talk about is like. Sounds like the taste of honey and magic and of course to lose it would be tragic 😉

    1. Thrilled by your words. Thank you so much for taking the time out to read and comment. Do you have a blog I can follow? When I click on your blog name it says the blog is no longer available. And I would like to follow you if possible.

  6. I’ll comment as soon as I’ve managed to write one!
I won’t say it on the comment, obviously but my favourite part was your little preface of ‘my muse deserves that’
    SIGH baby ..
Prepare for a gajillion questions about that little sentence..
This poem will cause a stir…trust me
