Her Words Are My Aphrodisiac

A woman's hands on a computer keyboard

Her Words Are My Aphrodisiac

Her words are my aphrodisiac
as her tender keystrokes
burn my trembling skin
hypnotized by lovely metaphors
she fills my voids with sin

Her words are my aphrodisiac
let my body be a clean sheet
where she pens a little prose
I will admire every syllable
more than she will ever know

    1. Hahahaha Not even sure how to resond to you. This could very possibly be the comment of the year. We all clean a sheet. Laughing. You definitely, got the meaning of this poem. There are times a writer pens something that leaves us breathless. Thank you.

        1. True. Unless they have emphysema. lol Sorry, I couldn;t help myself. And you are so wonderfully playful I had to say that bad joke. There are a few females here in WordPress that have left me BREATHLESS. Chimp gasping just thinking about it. Thank you.

  1. Yeah I know what this is like… When someone’s words are your drug. It’s amazing how you could be pulled in and fall in love with one’s words and their way with words. Is that a blessing or a curse, I wonder?
Having said that, beautiful words you have here, Andrew.

    1. Very good point. Is it a blessing or a curse? Can’t it be both?? There are times I have read poems by some of my favorite authors here in wordpress and their words leave me in awe. Thank you for reading and for your insight. And thanks for your kind words. You made my day.

    1. Smiling. So happy you liked it Scarlett. There are some talented writers who unknowingly pen beautiful words that inspire and excite. People always talk about the connection between artist/writer and muse, but there can exist a deep soulful connection between writer and reader as well. Happy you liked it. Thank you for your kind comments.

      1. I know. Sometimes, I just cannot identify and trying to use my ever-present cover of humor…just doesn’t seem appropriate….and sometimes, I will admit…you posts make me incredibly sad.
What I have missed….you can’t really think on that and not be sad.

          1. It’s not your fault and you are never going to lose me. The beautiful things you write and the way feel about your Allie…they’re just so alien to me….I was thinking just a minute ago, that it is becoming more and more difficult for me to read about these womens’ and mens’ lives and how they have been destroyed. It makes me so incredibly sad that I can hardly stand it. Before, I thought I was the only one who was so damaged…now I read about it every day. I would venture to say that most of them are hopeful…and giving…and receptive to starting over.
I am sure that I am dead inside.

            1. No, you are not dead inside. You are terribly disillusioned with men and life. Understandably so. I will continue to maintain enough hope for the two of us. I know this will pass. You deserve love and happiness. And I am certain it will come for you.

                  1. Deal. I should have appreciated the way Steve looked at me yesterday. It was like he was studying my face….not my boobs or my clothes…and he was smiling the whole time. I don’t think he ever once glanced at my boobs or commented on my Lauren top….but I’m still ready to run.

  3. Your poetry just confirmed to me perhaps there must be an invisible bond between the creative soul and his/her guru; you know the invisible teacher or guide who seem to stir our soul, ignite our inspiration. I often sensed that mine might be a male figure; with a great sense of humor. You, however, is passionately in love with her! LOL, Mmm, I smell roses here!
    Love it!

  4. Aha! Now I know why so many bloggers think that they are in love with me, and even ask me to marry them?! Never could figure out why this was happening since I don’t flirt and I don’t write very much romantic poetry, it never did make any sense, your poem explains it all. Thank you, well penned.
