Allie

You encouraged me to write
when my soul ran out of ink
you reminded me to fly
when life clipped my wings
the world turned its back
and only you remained
you believed in me
when I didn’t trust myself
even as hope abandoned us
faith accompanied your words
you are my masterpiece
the one thing I got right
and I could never forget
without you there is no me

  2. Nice to see you back and capturing the true spirit of a meaningful relationship. I’m very glad for the two of you and the emotions you share with each other. Yours is truly a blessed relationship. The poem couldn’t make it any clearer.

    1. May is my anniversary month. I will probably reveal more about Allie, me, and our relationship as the month goes along. She is quiet and weak, but she plays a big role in all of my successes. Happy that you liked this little poem.
      Thank you.

        1. Hey, I am answering this from my dashboard because I am having problems with WordPress. So I am unable to see my original comment. Did i mean week or weak? What was my comment? And I am confused because I wouldn’t say anyhting to try to annoy you. Our anniversary is the following week May 30th. Please let me know about the weak?? Like I said I wouldn’t want to annoy you or anyone else for that matter. xoxo.

          1. Okay, first I should apologize. I’m such a blurter! You should be able to say whatever you want and I should not criticize, after all, it’s your blog! But you said ” She is quiet and weak but she plays a big role in all of my successes.” Maybe you meant meek? I was annoyed on Allie’s behalf and you may tell her so! But I’m still sorry for criticizing… am I forgiven? ❤

            1. Of couse you are forgiven. I understand your annoyance. And yes, my choice of words was poor. Thanks for correcting me. Meek would have been a better word. I think my train of thought was Allie has been so underestimated by her family and friends and when disaster hit our lives, I wasn’t sure she could carry our burdens on her slender shoulders. Well, she surprised everyone. You will be read more about this soon. Thanks for correcting me. Ands you know you are special to me. So forgiveness weas never needed. Thanks

    1. Allie has done so much for me. She has been so much more than a wife. I wanted to take a moment out to acknowledge that. Thank you for stopping by to read and comment. I followed your writing blog. Will read some of your work a little later today. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I’d say she’s lucky to have you – but then you’d say you’re lucky to have her. So I’ll say you both are lucky to have found each other. Beautiful words, Andrew – I could feel love ooze from each word.

      1. I keep on rooting for you, and for your love to keep on being everything that you wanted it to be. I am sure that it will be. 🙂 It is ONLY on account of my own failing belief, that I pray for it to be your last and undying love. The way you describe it, I have no doubts it will last though. 🙂 Just keep on what you are doing, cherishing it and so on. 🙂 All the best, xoxo. /Survived.

    1. Like any other marriage we irritate one another on occasions, but she has been amazing. Made sacrifices, I know many other woman wouldn’t have made. Also, sorry for the delay in this response. Finding so many unanswered comments from my week off. Oh, what a mess.

              1. It’s easy to get lost in it…I’m spending more time on WP than I intended to, and I’m going to have to cut way back so like you, I can concentrate more on my writing. I hate not making comments on all the blogs I follow, but I’m going to stop trying…it’s sucking up all my time. Andrew, a lot of people here only write when blogging; they aren’t trying to write books and market their work. My friend, we can’t do it all. I think in the near future, I may write a post about this problem.
