Never Enough Time For Love

Love Time

Never Enough Time For Love

Our time is just a fraction
the grains are falling fast
there’s little time to waste
no promise for tomorrow
once they’re gone
no one’s coming back
we learn when it’s too late
never enough time to love

  1. Encouragement for not holding back. A big cheer for love and for being in love and for making the relationship work because love is worth the effort – especially if you’ve had the fortune to find the right person.

    1. Exactly. We shouldn’t hold back. I often remember the stories of 9/11, couples who said good bye or didn’t say it because of an argument. then they never had a chance for a final kiss or hug. We must treasure the people we have while we have them.

  2. So true! I have often thought of these things… time really does go so very fast with someone we love.
I almost had one of those micro poems in my head, about this topic…
    Thanks for inspiring. 🙂 xo

  3. This speaks mountains! My grandfather recently passed away, and it wasn’t until he was gone that I realized how often I take time for granted. All of the weekends that I could have made the time to drive a measly two hours to see him, but I didn’t… We don’t know what we have until it’s gone. Life is so busy for everyone, it will be a new practice in my household to make time to visit with family. Love your writing!

    1. So, sorry to hear about your grandfather. Christa, may he rest in peace. We need to make more time for love and family. We never know when the end may come. Thanks for the compliment about my writing. And thanks for stopping by. I wish all the best to you and yours.

  4. It’s interesting, if we wrote down on paper the things in life we value most and then attach the amount of time we spend on them, (in most cases) we would see we spend the greatest amount of time on the things we value the least.
Your poem accentuates this point. Well done.

  5. A beautiful poem to remind us to keep loving, loving and more loving. I also liked the picture you chose. It has a great meaning and a beautiful representation of the sentiments behind it.
    Blessings to you my friend.

    1. Smiling. We need to share love with the people we love. How many times do we hear about accidents or shootings and the families never gave a proper good bye. Life is short. We never know what destiny has in store. Love as much as we can while we can. Blessing to you and your beautiful family.

      1. Yes indeed Andrew. There is never a certainty with the amount of time we are allotted here on earth, hence we need to make our words and deeds reflect love and only it.
❤ Hugs and blessings to you and your beautiful family too!

    1. Exactly. I never forget the stories here in New York on 9/11. Couples who failed to say goodbye because of an argument the previous night. They went to work without speaking and then the terrorists struck and they never said bye. We should always make time for love cause we don’t know what each new day may bring. Thank you.

      1. I think that would truly do me in–if I’d been part of one of those couples from 9/11–so much to perhaps never recover from. It’s a dramatic lesson. (Were you living there then?)
