Her Shadow

Her Shadow

Some nights I ask myself what
is the worst thing about losing
the love of a devoted woman

Sitting alone in the darkness
I find I miss her guiding light
as I long to see her shadow

      1. Yeah, I haven’t been inspired lately. I’ve been writing for 3 years and was hoping the trip to NY would inspire me and it did but limitingly so. I have one prepared for Monday…a short story but hope it’s not too long. I know bloggers have short attention spans.

  1. ⚘ Can you teach a class for men in how to be romantic? I think they could learn from you! 🙂 This is an amazing and mysterious poem. It is very easy to start wondering about the woman. Who she is and what the story is behind these two people. You got mad skills, bro’ ! (Lol). 🙂 💙

        1. I wasn’t sure if to call you Shorty or Boo. I selected Shorty since it starts with S. Living in NY you hear this all day long. As for compliments; well the lady in the photo reaching for the sea, well she has spectacular hair. Pass that on to her please.

  2. That’s a very lovely but also a very sad poem. Luckily, I don’t have to worry because I know from your other posts that your actual situation is a much happier one, thank goodness! 😀
