Forever Chasing Dreams

Forever Chasing Dreams

There lived a boy who
loved chasing dreams.
But he quickly learned
they can be as elusive
as feathers in the wind.
Always within his grasp
yet forever out of reach.

Before long he learned
the winds never cease.
So he kept on reaching.
The boy refused to stop.
Ignoring every naysayer
he lived a life determined
forever chasing dreams.

              1. I read some of the other comments- this post was about you? I had no idea. I love that writing has the ability to transcend subjects, and be relatable to what we know. When I read it, I thought of all the little boys I know/ have known. EXCELLENT writing. 🙂

Sorry for the delay in my response. Between Wordprtess losing my messages, and now my screwed up vision, I am well behind in replying to my messages.

Thanks for your kind words and have a great day.

  1. Our dreams are ours it is a vehicle we use to reach the true happiness we seek and we are the driver who will drive us to joy needed for self growth. We cannot and should not allow others map the road for us.
We need not be worried of people who don’t believe in us and those who criticize us.
We need to hold fast to our dreams.
We need to be strong confident and gear up to fight the storms.
We should not give up and never give in because our dreams are counting on us.
And need to ask ourselves do I believe I can pursue it? If yes then I am going to dream and make them come true.

    1. I agree with everything you stated. A person needs to believe in their dreams and themselves. I have been chasing my dreams of publication through the traditional means. I ahev had so many people tell me to give up and self-publish. But I refuse to quit.

Thank you for taking the time out to read and contribute these profound and important thoughts. Thanks.

      1. I would never have enjoyed giving myself and one of my loved one the honest explanation for why I gave up on my dreams is what I questioned myself and honestly I could not….. So the dreams I left alone once not to seek for was haunting me deep and thus I started back to work on my dreams.
I show that if I don’t keep going, I will never know how far I could have gone and I am sure to miss out on being the person I would become through the effort itself. I decided to go for the dreams as….. this quote motivated me much.. : “Shoot for the moon, for even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.”
Yes we can know how much self confidence we have and how strong we are when we don’t let others decide the path for us. I am happy that you didn’t quit and went on to achieve your dreams, thus I too start up again to make dreams come true. Thank you for sharing your words of inspiration.
