The Firefly Who Wanted To Be A Star

The Firefly Who Wanted To Be A Star

Once there was a tiny
firefly who wanted to
glow upon this world.
A task impossible for
one lonesome bulb.

Every night she shined
so bright yet she never
became a star. Until all
her little friends joined in
 to illuminate the dark.

One firefly alone could
never change a world,
but thousands working
together can create a
universe here on Earth.

My wife found this image in Google and asked me to write a poem about the Firefly who wanted to be a star.

    1. Thank you for nominating me for an award. I guess you didn’t notice this is an award free blog. I am so tied up trying to work on my novels I don’t have time to participate in awards. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Have a great weekend.

      1. I really didn’t notice about the blog been award free blog and it does not mean I didn’t take a good look at your blog… I did but I for once forgot about it because You deserve it, the award. This was to share so I did but if I ever am in that position to give award I will not nominate anyone simply hand them the award by personally sending them it from my house.. ☺.
I thank you for still accepting it even when you are tied up with so many projects…. All the best. Be blessed and may your work come out great as I believe it will…, नमसते

  1. This was really lovely…. Once we see no difference between me, myself and others and accept that we are part of the Universe it will for sure help in transforming our lovely Planet Earth into a great place, a heaven.

  2. This is the sound truth here. The universe is so big and we other like minded people to create the change we need to see. I want to be a star but I need all the people I can reach to be one. I like this poem, it’s inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Yay! This is just gorgeous! What a lovely post to pass on and share 😊 I feel very much like this firefly- I think we were twins, separated at birth! If you like this post by The Lonely Author Blog, please reblog it and spread happy inspiring vibes around the world. LUSH 👍😁

      1. I think with the world being so negative right now, we need to instigate positive mini revolutions that spread better-ness around the world. Metaphors such as this capture meaning in such an enlivening way. 😁 I am so glad I made you smile too! That makes me so happy ❤
