Life In An Hour Glass
Sometimes I feel as if
I live in an hour glass,
buried beneath a ton of
relentless sand.
We run, work, stay busy
Make grand plans for
the tomorrows that
arrive much too soon.
Whenever life overwhelms
I pause to think about you
Oh I love this! I can so relate! Well done. Smiles.

I liked the last sentence as it shows no matter how caught up you may be with daily humdrum of life, you pause to think of that special “you” to draw strength from. Nice!

Love the way you interpreted this. Exactly as I wanted. We need that person who can make the chaos and craziness of life a little more bearable. Lucky for me, my wife does just that.
Thanks for sharing your thoughtful comments.

Thank you for saying that. I really didn’t like this one. I am having a problem right now of too many ideas rushing at me. Feast or famine. xoxo

I love it. I think it’s sadly fitting. I can’t help it if you don’t like it, lol! It’s good you have lots of ideas. I’m finding myself with none or just not the motivation to try right now. Cleaning instead. Yay!

Cleaning is good. Yeah, I am on a streak with too many thoughts cluttering my head so I feel like nothing comes out right.

That’s a great image! I guess for someone who feels they exist in an hour glass and is being completely overwhelmed, the trick is to somehow turn their life around.

Nice poem
One of the tragedies of life is the grand plans we have but are unable to actualise because of one or two things.
All the same, even if you feel as if you live under tons of sand, always keep your head up.

Awww. ‘Whenever life overwhelms me, I pause and think about you.’ I love this so much, it reminds me of when I stop for a second during a very busy day and think about my husband and it makes me feel glad because I know I have him to get home to. How lovely. What a sweet, genuine little poem. 🙂
