Beyond Repair

broken-woman

Beyond Repair

Unloved.

Neglected.

Mistreated.

With love I recovered

all of her broken pieces.

With kisses I attempted

to heal her wounds.

But

trust never appeared,

her tears never ended.

How could I have known

she was broken

beyond repair.

            1. Happy your doing fine. Her mom is doing much better, but we keep our fingers cross because cancer has the bad habit of returning.

Thanks for the kind words for my daughter.

And I wish all the best for you. You are one of the sweetest here in wordpress.

  1. As a fractured soul, I truly believe that even those parts can be loved. No one can ever be ‘fixed’ we can accept and love wholly. And that is love. Thank you for posting. ⭐⭐💙

    1. I agree with everything you said. I also believe we are all broken in our own way. I have been lucky in life to have partially repaired old girl friends, a couple of friends as well.

Thank you for stopping by to read and contribute your thought ful comments. I appreciate that.

  2. Your poem inspired a response which I will post on my blog next and ping back to you if that’s okay. Thank you for sharing from your heart. I know it’s difficult to love those who have been hurt but don’t despair. You will see, no one is ever damaged beyond repair. You cannot fix her, but the love you have given her all this time, and the love you are giving her unconditionally now is allowing her to build the tools she will use to ultimately heal herself. I know this for a fact because I have an angel who loves me like this and allowed me to find my own way to healing. ♥.

  4. This is so heart wrenching. I found various shades of emotions in this…. love, care, pain, helplessness, but somewhere I could also feel a bit of hope which has not yet been lost completely. Beautiful piece. 🤗

  6. Heartbreakingly sad. 💔It’s so true that some people out here are beyond repair and it’s also true that we’re all broken in some way or the other. Wonderful write up, Andrew. You never cease to make me feel.

      1. You know I’ll always be here once you’re writing the good stuff! 😉 Yes, it certainly is; their burdens will become your burdens. Thank you and I hope your day is passing well. 🙂

    1. You made me smile. Thank you for taking the time out to red and comment. If this were true, I wouldn’t blame myself. Thankfully it is not true, although there have been ladies in my past that have fit this write. Thank you for stopping by.

  7. We all understand what you have written in our own way..such depth even at the surface. brilliant work of art. Written from the perspective of the repairman who found a lovely thing, a broken thing in his eyes and yet loves it. He escapes failure as he places the thing once again broken beyond repair. His repair. His despair. ♥️. I love your work.

    1. There is always hope. This write wa pure fiction on my part. But I do believe all of us are broken in some way and to some degree. But I also believe love can repair their scars. Thank you so much for taking the time out to read and contribute your comments. They are greatly appreciated.

  8. I love how you manage to write something so meaningful with so few words. I would hope there are no permanently broken souls out there, but I know there are many.

    1. We are all broken to some extent. But as you say we can never fix them. Hopefully we can teach the to live with their imperfections, especially if we can show them we love their imperfect way.

Thanks for reading and your comments. Hope you are well.

      1. Indeed. Love is a great motivator to change and heal. To know we are worthy of such from another can be the tipping point from further damage to early healing. So long as we remember that all such healing must be accomplished by self, not other. Such a reminder is necessary to avoid both dependency and co-dependency. Just my opinion, of course. 😀

          1. Spoken like the gallant knight you are, Sir Andrew. Lol! I, myself, have fallen victim to that role on far too many occasions. Such is the price we pay for having big hearts and a desire to serve others. So let us carry on, supporting and reminding each other of boundaries, while we continue to reach for these broken souls, if only to lighten their loads for a while. 😀

    1. Yes, that is a sad thought. Thankfully, it is a complete work of fiction. While I believe most of us are broken in one way or another, I like to believe love and patience can heal the wounds.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment. I appreciate it. Have a wonderful weekend.
