An elegant tapestry of

silky curls and waves.

The ebb and flow of her locks

calming like a starry night.

If she only knew

what I would give

to caress her hair tonight.

  19. Forget blondes,its all about the redheads! A friend of mine is engaged to redheaded man.. Works for her.. I don’t see many redheaded men, but some are quite striking in looks.. The jury is still out for me!

    2. I will agree. Your poetry is beautiful full of intimate touches. I see you have been asked before to write one for brunettes/blondes, will you also write one for brown-(chestnut) haired girls? You know “chestnut” rhymes with “doughnut”…and “butt” lol 🙂

          1. On your new post Introspection, don’t be too hard on yourself. Writers are naturally introverted. When we are hurting, we seek a solitary space to heal. I believe, since we are much alike, it’s what comes naturally to us. And in a relationship where your woman is like you, you will both have times you seek quiet and space to heal. Maybe in the past you have sought out women that were the opposite of you which is probably why it didn’t work in the long run. I think sometimes we introverts do that because we have this little nagging belief that it’s wrong to want to be quiet, contemplative and peaceful. Extroverts think we are melancholy, when in reality, we just commune better with the world around us when we can retreat to our silent spaces. Just remember that you are who you need to be and Heavenly Father made you the way you are for a reason. As one of my friends says “You be you Boo.” xoxoxo

      1. Oh, I feel ya! I’ve had this struggle too… But won’t it be worth it when you’re really inspired and conjure up beautiful rhymes again?
        But then, even your ‘little poem’ written at a time of struggle is so endearingly gorgeous, that you hardly need wait for inspiration to alight upon you! ❤️

  35. I’m so down with this! Holly’s poetry is inspirational, and her hair is fun to draw. Although, she has become many characters in my imagination, that she has many colours of hair, to differentiate them.
    Now, after my many projects, there is a new Holly character……. Foxy Holly.
    This came about from the Jimi Hendrix tribute we just did together! Sending love! 💜
