The Lonely Author Blues

.

Listen to my song
Although I have never been one to croon
Hear my sweet lyrics
Perhaps my whispers will make you swoon

I will sing of love
Unsatisfied desires as chronic as any pain
I will hum our hurt
Until youโ€™re drenched in little hearts of rain

Soak in my rhythm
Our harmony of love will give us such a thrill
Live in my tempo
And together we will make time stand still

You have me dreaming
Of love making on a beach for me and you
You have me screaming
Canโ€™t deny, I have the lonely author blues.

  1. Do away with the “perhaps” from the 4th line of the first verse. Perfect now! ๐Ÿ˜‰
And the little hearts of rain…so proud of you. Beaming here. Your blues are as smooth as cognac and I keep telling you I love all your shades and hues. โค๏ธ

    1. Don’t need that perhaps, huh? Smiling like a fool. Little hearts of rain was a challenge, didn’t know I would turn the trick that quick, I could use a cognac. I sipped wine when I wrote this. Just felt so inspired. My muse does that to me. Love all your shades and hues. xoxo

  2. I read this while imagining a smoky jazz room in New Orleans and you reading the blues while jazz trumpeters accompany you. Was that weird?

    Anyways, I loved it!

  3. Thank you for liking my post and following me. Am so honoured. It means so much to me and all I can say is thank you. I absolutely love how you parade your deepness and make us try to understand. I look upto you in terms of writing. You are absolutely the best.

      1. Ha ha! You’re a comedian too! I think it’s best to get someone famous to sing it. I thought Diana Krall for a female vocalist and Michael Bublรฉ for a male vocalist.

I know you are a famous blogger, but I meant famous singer. ๐Ÿ™‚
