A Message For N.

IMG-20180513-WA0009_1526217796434

All of his life, ladies have voiced the same complaint to Lonely Author, “you never get jealous.”  Well, I think it is a good time to set the record straight.

,

Jealousy

.

I am jealous of the space between us
Of the moonlight that kisses your cheek
I long to be the bra that supports you
The killer heels that adorn your feet

I envy the alarm clock that wakes you
I need to inspire your morning smile
TODAY, I am jealous of all the tomorrows
Where I kiss you and make you mine

.

The beach boy has never felt this way before.
Sorry you had to be the first N.

,

My apologies to all my followers for the bad poetry.  The motivation for this little message comes from a recent video chat with N (nothing related to WordPress).  My beloved Poetry Whisperer deserved to hear this.

    1. Maureen I have yet to see her in a bad pic or otherwise. I have seen her shabby look, and it is stunning. I am honored that you are the first to comment on this post. for my Baby. Happy you think it is sweet. Thank you for reading.

    1. Sona, thank you for your wonderful words and great support. She does look great in that pic. As for the message, I really owe it to her. She is too good to me and I stumbled. She deserves better than that. Thanks you for everything.

  1. I just explained to someone that I don’t get jealous. That can be misinterpreted, so I have to explain it. But after reading your poem, I realized what a green-eyed jealous monster I am. Ditto to all when it comes to my special lady love. I was able to keep it together until I read Poetry Muffin. I’m useless now. 🙂

    1. LOL I am almost crying with laughter after reading this. I, myself, have never been the jealous type, but Nandita is so special, well, I think I have to eat my words about never getting jealous. I am curious about what she will say about this post. Thank you for the read, comments, and the good laugh. I am certain Poetry Muffin will laugh as well.

  2. I think it takes a lot to admit feeling/being jealous, especially for a man. It is mostly seen as a woman’s trait after all. And this post only reinstates the intensity of your emotions (for me).

Now, coming to the little poem you’ve penned, it is NOT bad at all. In fact, it is so damn sweet. I particularly love the last two lines. So much of a promise therein. I can only marvel and fall deeper into you.

And the italicized lines..your brunette is smiling from ear to ear.

This post was cute, adorable and extremely endearing. Just like you are. Thank you darling. This will carry me through the day and even after.
    ❤️❤️❤️
P.S. i think your readers will get sick of seeing my pictures.

    1. Oh Baby. I pride myself on not being a Neanderthal (although I do get carried away with the five o’clock shadow as you have seen). So, it wasn’t easy for me. I actually stared at the Publish button for a while. Yeah, I love those last two lines. It is the promise of the beauty that is yet to come.
As for the italics, it’s true. It’s true. Never before. Not until you arrived. As for the pics, well, keep taking them. lol I love you. ❤️❤️❤️

      1. Needing to inspire my morning smile…was so beautiful as well. Let me tell you, your morning texts already do that (for now). Until your loving breaths/whispers will do that someday. ❤️❤️❤️

I knew you were getting jealous..😜. I saw it all over your face. Wanted so bad to hold you tight and sing: sometimes when we touch, the honesty’s too much.

        1. Jealous, who me. Hiding my face in shame. Yeah, I was.

I really want to be the first thing you see in the morning. And inspire that morning smile. I need to hear you sing that. You are sending me off to bed with such a warm glow in my heart, ❤️❤️❤️

            1. Love this message. Glow, Baby, Glow. I love you. Have a good day at work, Drive safely. Do you really have to wear those killer heels to work? You know what it will do to your back. We ran out of coffee ice cream. There’s still plenty of mango. Oh, and I have been dying for some avocados. Have a good one.
              Love you. ❤️❤️❤️

              1. 😀 I’m in espadrilles today, no killer heels.
Will pick up coffee ice cream and avocados too from Robert’s on my way back. Don’t forget to feed the cat .
See you soon. Love you too ❤️❤️❤️

For a man to accept that he is jealous is something I thought was impossible😄

    1. Your comment made me so happy. First, yeah, my little lady is gorgeous. Thanks for that. Well, this man had to admit it. But I still won’t ask for directions. lol It took a lot for me to do it, but honestly, she is worth it. I am touched by your words. Thank you so much. I really really appreciate it.

    1. You are very kind. I am certain the lucky one is me. Lonely beach boys are a dime a dozen, but ladies like her, well, they just aren’t made anymore. Happy you thought this is sweet. I appreciate your kind words and constant support for us. Thank you.

      1. You are both amazing people. I’m so glad you found your way to each other so my adoring eyes and mind can soak up the beauty of what you offer to each other (and us readers as a result) as people and as poets.

  4. That was absolutely moving. There is no such thing as bad poetry when it comes from the heart, and those words were amazingly beautiful just like your girl. The camera loves her as much as you do. I love the name of this poem, it says so much about you two. You are an amazing pair, and these are amazing words.🌹🌹

    1. By God, you overwhelm me. And I am certain she is smiling as she looks on (and trust me, she is looking on, she always is). lol Thanks for the kind words about the poetry. Nandita deserved to read that message. Thanks for complimenting her beauty. She is gorgeous. And even more beautiful inside. I am one lucky beachcomber. Thank you for your wonderful words about us. We both appreciate it so much. Thank you for everything. Especially for your friendship.

                    1. I cry when I read these words of mine, but there were lots of wonderful times before the pain, and they’re the memories I fall back onto to give me strength to continue my life’s journey

                    2. Yes, my heart is open and there’s a bit of love left in me yet
                      “Please don’t kick me
                      Pick me up, I’m free
Please carry me one more mile
                      My stone-face will smile”

  5. It’s a weird thing. Get too jealous and that’s no good. Don’t get jealous and that’s no good.
Seems a very strange thing for someone to want in someone, jealousy is something I can’t abide in people.

The moonlight kiss line is great btw.

    1. Being so far apart from Nandita is painful, Very difficult. Sorry, to hear you are in a long distance relationship. That can be hard. We try to focus on love and as best as we can ignore the distance. Happy you liked this post because it holds special meaning for me. Thanks you.
