My Baby has been so swamped with work demands, she actually fell asleep while in video chat with me.  She has barely written this week, so I wanted to pen something for her.  To set the record straight, I REALLY mean every word.  I do.  I do.

The Flirting Beach Boy

Have you heard about the lonely Beach Boy
He’s a Casanova and the most horrible flirt
He has enjoyed a woman or two…….or three
Til he earned a reputation for chasing skirts

Now, he wants to change and don a bright halo
“No mas,” to the all of the ladies he wants to yell
It may be too late for him to apply for heaven
Beach Boy has earned reservations in……oh, well

Though he is still a charmer, he wears blinders
And with all the chasing and flirting he’s done
Oh, the terrible Beach Boy is still a lady’s man
But now, he only belongs to N, a special one

    1. Your beautiful words fill our hearts with joy. I think our romance is often misunderstood. Since there is 7,000 miles between us, for now, the greatest gift we can give one another, is our words, Thus, we have dedicated ourselves to writing for our lover.

                    7. That is so disrespectful and wrong! It upsets me when others attempt to cause problems in a happy and solid relationship. My husband and I have worked for the same company, well before he decided work was optional, but women would try to flirt with him and make comments to me or around me about him. At first I would be upset and question my husband, but then I learned people LOVE drama.

      2. Long distance makes finding “Real Time” (emailing each other at the same time) on the internet so precious! You have to work for it but it is so worth it! If you find a soulmate – someone you can’t live without – it isn’t hard to give up everyone else!!!

      1. That’s workaholic hours, crazy schedule indeed. She is an incredible person. You being you and you being there for her makes her happy, I’m sure every time she smiles it’s because of you. She’s knows the love you have for her, what you two have is incredible and everyone knows, only one person needs actual proof and she already knows. Everybody feels what you two have, hopefully she gets to rest soon for both your sakes, it’s draining you both.

  25. Such a sweet poem! This goes out to all the ladies out there, all it takes is one special woman to cure the skirt chasing ladies man syndrome!! It can be done as Drew has show! My husband back in the day was a ladies man and religious skirt chaser! Now he looks, like all men do and you are probably no different Drew:), has loving eyes for only one special lady!!

  32. You are too sweet, Drew. Sorry if some people cannot understand the subtle nuances of flirting. I’ve been married so long but I still smile at other men and gently flirt. Hubby knows it’s just my personality and would never feel threatened. And I would never cross the line beyond subtle. I’m sure N feels the same about you!
