life is a carousel

.
My three step plan on how I will live the rest of my life: LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH

.

life is a carousel

.

No use crying over spilled milk
Don’t worry over your reservations
In heaven or hell
Our time is too brief
Life is a carousel

Forget the lovers you lost
Or the pounds
That you suddenly found
It’s one ticket per customer
To ride this glorious merry go round

.

My next post will be in two weeks on Friday (yes Friday) September 21st; my three year blogging anniversary.

On Monday I begin my next adventure.
Eight days of writing, beaching, and Cancun-ing,

My dear friends you will be missed.
My laptop will quietly weep for you.

Be well
Be happy
Be loved

  1. An excellent plan and philosophy we all should live by. We get so hung up on the little things that we forget life is wonderful and we should enjoy it. Have a lovely adventure!

  2. I don’t regret the pounds, nor the lovers gone
I am here for the ride and one helluva ride I am on!
Thank you for the reminder in your part playful, part introspective verse.
Enjoy your holiday to the hilt, you will surely be missed!

    1. Laughing. The mornings of these vacations are for relaxing and writing. I will be getting serious with my current manuscript. Writing brings me such joy, I actually write with full concentration, well, until that bikini passes by.

As for Satchmo; I have a specific playlist for when I am writing, this song is there.

Thank you for you kind words. Autumn is almost here, you should be feeling relief soon.

  3. Live, love, laugh as much as you can!!! ♥️ enjoy your time away from the lappy, Drew. Will be looking forward to your 5th year anniversary post.

Ps. The image you used looks like Georgina Wilson, a famous celebrity here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 lol great choice! She’s really beautiful 😍

    1. That image I used is a very gorgeous woman. There were no credits with the photo, so perhaps it is her. Either way she is a beautiful woman.

Thank you for your lovely words. I have every intention of living, loving, and laughing. Thank you so much.

          1. No problem my friend …… you needed the break as it takes a while to recognise that skill and for humble people like you its much much harder as you try for perfection on a jigsaw of words before you understand the picture you are trying to create ….

    1. Delighted you enjoyed. Please excuse any typos, today I have the unpleasant burden of replying from my smart phone. A most daunting task.

Life is too short. Will I ever have enough time to read all of your inspiring work

Thank you for your kind words. Anxious to hear your thoughts on my posts when I return, one of which will be an excerpt of my current manuscript.

Thank you for your wonderful wishes. May your day be gorgeous. And please enjoy the glorious ride we have been given.

    1. Aruna, thank you for most beautiful words. Life is too short. We must enjoy every single moment. I don’t like sad memories either, but they are a part of. They molded us into the people that we are today.
Thank you always for your kindness. Throw away your tears and enjoy this ride we call life.

      1. I guess I’m on the right track, Andrew. What is it called, intentional living, living in the present etc. A hard lesson was learned, doing my best now. Enjoy every moment of your holiday!
