these vagabond days

.

these vagabond days

.

look at me

I am a vagrant

forever drunk on your words

an aimless wanderer

with no need of a compass

since mine only points to you

I am a gypsy

humming a song

as I loiter on your poetry

dreaming of a home

in the sanctuary

of your arms

sadly

these vagabond days

lead to lonely nights

of me

longing to be with you

.

It’s good to be back.Β  My vagabond days are over (for now).

  1. What, only 200 previous thoughts? Amazing how your followers forget about you when you’re gone away.
Anyway, the poem is a sweet heartfelt joy to read. Thank you!

    1. Laughing. You are Out An About quite a bit.

I have never been much of a traveller until recently. Honestly, I am loving it. During this last break I spent two weeks touring the state of Florida.
I spent ore tim driving and exploring than sleeping in hotel rooms. I was a true vagabond. It was energizing.

Thank you for the sweet welcome. It is great to be back. And wonderful hearing from you.
