my muse

Grateful for all the warm messages and wishes.  Doing much better now.  Thank you.

Now, let’s get back to poetry………my muse deserves that.

my muse

.

My muse
is a prism
for when she writes
I see the other side of light
As I read her words
I become an unraveling knot
That slowly comes undone
If she knew
how she brightens my darkness
with her inspiring poetry
my muse would understand
she is a prism
illuminating a spectrum of love
deep inside of me

  1. This is a radiant, resplendent and romantic ode to the muse, Drew, replete with rich images!

(P.S I didn’t intend to be so alliterative, but I guess that’s what such inspiring poetry does!)

Congratulations on this. Happiness becomes you 😊

Okay, so…. try not to think about your missing muse. It’s like love. It finds you. OR You find it when you aren’t looking. OR If you look too, closely, you could miss the Lady in the back.

  6. Your muse is very lucky to have such beautiful poetry written about her. How so many are blind to words of light, written by those who are close in sight, far in the mind no one ever conceives, they are somebody’s reason to believe. 🙂 Oh the DNA post is finally published!

    1. Humbled and blushing at your words.
I hope it okay to ask you one question.
I keep telling eveyone she is fiction, but let me ask you this.

If someone (a poetess) does inspire me like a muse. By me telling her, she may alter the way she writes, thus potentially ruining the things about her that inspires me.
Should I take that risk. Of course, I mean if she truly existed,

      1. Well, have you ever heard of Cierno de Vershiwac ?( I’m spelling it how i remember it sounding.) I would say if she is already taken then keep it a secret, but if she is free then maybe pray about what to do. Cierno made the great mistake of never telling the one he loved how he felt thinking she wouldn’t love him because of his looks, and thus lost her to another man. I’ve made similar mistakes, thinking too much of others when someone was fair game, thinking I wasn’t good enough. She finaly figured out the truth right before he passed. Of course many fictional plays of such come true in real life.

        1. You speak of the tale of Cyrano de Bergerac. Yes, he never told his beloved Roxane of his feelings for her.

I really don’t know if my muse is single. I am very respectful of those things. Oh well.

Your lovely comment truly warmed my heart. Thank you for this little chat. I so appreciate it.

          1. Well, you might ask her someday. It doesn’t hurt to ask. I myself am waiting for someone…..the same someone for over a year and I think he is waiting for me to….I know he is, but unfortunately his pastor and church do not approve right now…., God will work things out. Dont give up on finding that special person. Dare to dream….if someone doesnt work out God might have someone else or maybe the timing isnt right. And God never meant for man to be alone. Blessings, hang in there.

              1. thank you. I’ve found that when I get right with God and no games no foolin’ and be serious serving in a church God will send someone every time…..and even though im technicly *not eligble* according to what I understand I know he is the one and the Lord will work it out. I pray the same for you. You will find that special person if you commit your life to God and pray about it every day, asking the Lord for guidance. He knows who you need in your life…he will send the right person.

                1. I love and agree with everything you said here.

Honestly, at times I am a lkittle disappointed by churches and the rules they impose on us.
No pastor or priest can possibly know what is best for us. God is the one who truly understands what we need.

I am certain God will bring you happiness and the right man into your life. You have a warm heart, you deseve that

  10. I love the inspiration you receive from your muse. Even if she is but a fleeting moment of thought in your mind; she is as real as she needs to be and helps you write the most beautiful words.

    1. I adore this comment. I keep telling eveyone there is no muse per se. But there are a few female writers/poets that inspire me.
So maybe it would be better to say my muse is a composite of wonderful and inspiring writers.
Thanks you for your lovely words and encourasgement. Appreciate each and every one of them.

I disconnected from technology for the holiday season (it was a gift to myself). I let a few posts reblog. But other than that nothing,. So nothing was said to the muse. Hopefully, she is still around.

Happy 2019. Wish all thr best for you and yours.
I will be catching up with your blog over the weekend. Thank you.
