A masterpiece
of artistry and love
She is a portrait
of her laughter
and long forgotten tears
A collection of stunning
jigsaw pieces
of heartbreak and memories
collected through the years
She is a labyrinth of emotions
a sweet sum of all her parts
To truly appreciate
the beauty of a woman
you must discover
the little girl
for she will forever be
a priceless work of art

      of our experiences. A man only needs to pit them all together to understand her and appreciate her true beauty. With that said,

    1. Victoria Ray, I have been so busy recently, I don’t want you to think I have neglected you.

      First let me tell you there is something strange going on with hyour blog. First, because of the size of my blog and since I don’t read everyday, I have to blog-read by email
      notification.

      Okay, my blog email is Google; which breaks emails into three categories….Primary, Social, and Promotion. You are the only blogger I follow where her email notifications FALL INTO ALL 3 CATEGORIES.
      I found quite a few in Promotion, which a never check. So, one day you will see s hit load of comments from me. This issue seems to have settled down and now they are only coming in Primary (where they should).

So many women (and men) should read this, because too many times I see people looking for only the pretty parts of a person’s soul, but fail to embrace and try to understand the cracks, the bruises, the scars that come with them. To be able to see that someone can still be beautiful, despite being broken and coming with a past that may not be all that pretty shows that you’re looking for the TRUTH of a person, not a perfected image of what you wish they could be. This poem, to me, reflects that and so much more. Really love the appreciation you give to the ladies in this poem, Andrew. Another one knocked out the park!

And so courageous in posting about your early life. It is true that through allowing yourself to be vulnerable you can be more connected to others. And that in being vulnerable, shame withers.

Reading these comments, and your poems, it’s clear how being genuine and true shines through in people.
