déjà vu

déjà vu

it’s happening again
I awakened to the overture
of a familiar verse
as vivid as a reocurring dream
radiant rays of words
came in waves
blessing every pulse
of my dawnless heart
with resuscitating poetry

basking in the beautiful warmth
of a never ending déjà vu
today I fell in love
again and again
when a poem
reminded me of you

  1. the woodsy intriguing photo brought me in…and reminded me poetry is for me too! sometimes I just can’t find a way to express myself in letter to my husband…and one of his ‘love languages’ is ‘words of affirmation’ …each time we wake up and smile at the sight of our beloved warm next to us…I hope to remember that I’m ‘falling in love again.’ Gottman research has found that there are couples that are able to fall in love over and over again, they are happier with less conflict…there are on rare occassions couples that are happy with less conflict because one person does more of the adjusting…but the happiest have that virtuous circle of loving and receiving lung round and round…merci/thanks, Our Farm Stay

  2. I’ve been off WordPress for what seems to me like ages but your poetry always manages to pull me back here.
Mesmerising, enchanting, bewitching…relatable…are the adjectives in the air around me as I read this piece..!

    1. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Honestly, if you are new to blogging let me give you a little advice. This is no way to grow your blog.
Don’t know if you have noticed, but I have over 7,500 followers. I never put a message like this on any blog.
I don’t plead with anyone to follow me. You shouldn’t do it either.

Now you just lost the opportunity to get more followers. When a person leaves a good comment on a big blog,
others will read it. And some of those people will follow you without you asking.

Blogging is about making connecvtions with people. If your not interested in makming friends, then you
      shouldn’t be blogging.

Best of luck with your blog.

      1. Thanks for the advice. Yes I’m new to blogging. I’ll keep it in mind and it’s ok if people like what I write they’ll follow me otherwise I would have a blog without any friends. Seriously thanks 😊

  3. I feel like I’m keeping up with the love life of the Lonely Author, we’re all with you on this journey now. This is beautiful and I love the simplicity.

  4. These 3 new poems I’ve just read are a testament to how much you missed writing your luscious poems, and hopefully how your new home inspires. ❦❦
You are also a hopeless romantic!

    1. Feeling very good right now. I am so happy these lines resonated with you.
They were my favorite, too. They were the very fabric of this poem.
Thank you for taking the time out to read.
      You words made me happy.
      Appreciate it

  5. You get so many comments and people rarely comment on anything I write, but the only time something is said is when I’ve said something they choose to get offended at. So why write at all? I’m also getting to where I make things and just throw them away….such is the life of this loner…..no place to call home, all my former friends are distant, out of my life, or have decided to write me off. I’ve been told that people are jealous of what I write/create, but why? I consider what I do as ordinary……it just makes no sense why people have to be so negative about me about themselves……and everyone in my life….children, parents, friends have left me…..it brings me to a point that I’m questioning the value of life and trying to put into perspective why should I continue? Is life really worth living when people are so busy tearing me down, tearing everyone down…..when we should be building each other up. I just don’t get it. Why say something belittling to help yourself feel better, why tell people they are going to fail, when it will do nothing for you….your still in the same possition, only lazier because now you’ve added another # to the equasion….”I’ve now nullified this other person’s attempt to change and/or influence the world; therefore I can remain stationary….so in essence while you bring them down they don’t achieve anything either because it nullifies the area of compitition…..just a little psychology. Basicly, their too lazy to do something, but they don’t want to look bad so they discourage you too that way they don’t have to try that hard and look good while remaining constantly where they are. I find this every time I go to a new synagogue (not picking on the Jews but using them as an example). They are comfortable where they are (the Spanish speaking ones) and don’t want to go to Mexico to speak at the other synagogues , but I *do* want to someday go, but they discourage me by saying, “Oh, no you don’t know spanish.”

    1. Well, regarding the problem oif people rarely commenting on your blog. I clicked on this link to your blog and it didn’t work. You need to fix your link. And I always find leaving good comments will let people get to know you and they will follow and comment.

As for the rest of what you said. I am a positive person and I surround myself with positive people. It makes for an enriching life.

      1. I took my blogs down. I found no reason to keep writing when my friend was told he had to stay clear of me was the only one coming there……and it offered me some consolation but for over a year that’s the only source of knowing he still cared….is seeing that *maybe* he was still reading what I was writing….and I have to stop writing here too or commenting on what you wrote because he knows I comment on your poems because I mentioned you read some of what I wrote….well, I need real relationships with people I meet in real life. Social media has replaced all that *used to be* in my life. It’s very difficult trying to hang on to hope but I haven’t survived 52 years of hell and lonliness just to give up. My rainbow is coming and so is my sunshine. I’ve got to stay possitive and phocussed on “what will be”.
