only the ocean and me

only the ocean and me

It wasn’t the best of weekends. I read a threatening poem dedicated to a friend. Meanwhile, another friend received angry, unkind messages because of a post I shared on Friday.

My blog has been a vehicle for me to promote women and love. There has always been one constant message – positivity.  It is all I know.

I refuse to condone, accept, or promote hate, envy, bullying, or violence. Love, acceptance, and understanding are the cure.

During my worst moments, I always retreat to my favorite lady. She always resets my mind, my inner peace, and priorities.

I often feel these lyrics by Jack Johnson were written for me.

When this work is done
And this coat is dry
When this world is too much
It will be
Only the ocean and me

When these sails go up
Mountains fade away
Stars come out
I’m finally free
it’s only the ocean and me

  1. I don’t get it. If ‘you’ don’t like something you’re reading…move on. Why waste your life time and energy spousing off hate and anger about created pieces? I’m sorry you went through that.

Glad for the ocean and the positive energy here TLAB.

  6. Amen!! You’ve probably seen the #LoveHasNoLabels social experiment using a huge screen/x-ray machine that strips away our outer layers. When we remove the barriers that identify us we can clearly see we are more alike than different. The one thing the x-ray machine doesn’t capture is our character. Our character, or the essence of who we truly are can be seen in how we live our lives. Life is too short to be ungrateful, hateful, and unaccepting of others. We all are different and we ‘see’ differently even though we are the same. Bravo to you for standing firm!!! 🤗

    1. Smiling. Thank you for your kind words Roy. I always want to send positive messages of love and light.
So your comment filled me with joy. I have shrugged off these little ugly incidents. The beach and sea
      always resets my mind.

Thank you for your warm comments. They are always treasured.

On a different note, today I posted a little thing I will be over the next couple of months. A little
tribut to women. I havew many followers who are too afraid to comment on my blog, and they prefer
to contact me and comment through email. Some come from battered homes, violent marriages, or pasts
      they are trying to forget.

So, I wanted to introduce the positive and beautiful women of WordPress. I talk about it in my post
today. The INspiring Women of WordPress. Perhaps, the weaker ladies can learn and draw strength
from the stronger ones. At the very least, they will have the chance to make new friends and role models.

I was hoping to introduce Ms. Sparkles as one of the Inspiring Women of WordPress. Can either one of you
get back to me and let me know if this is okay? Thanks for everything my friend. Always appreciated.

You are too sweet a soul to have unpleasant days. No storm lasts forever, so find peace in ther
knowledge that this too will pass.

From the obttom of my heart, I wish you all the best.
