  18. Controlling a person can go two different ways. Controlling me in everyday life and decisions, it’s not happening. Controlling me in the bedroom, now that’s a different story. I do see what you are saying though. Nice writing Drew. Smiles.

  21. I love that movie! Great post, Andrew! Although, the strings could lead to some fun times, in a way…;) They must be cut to know what real love is all about. 🙂

          1. You mean that I would admit? That I haven’t already destroyed? I’ve burned my fingers getting rid of evidence of my stupidity. And let us not reveal things I’ve said that I’d like to cram the other way down my throat – but, too late.

            But I still like this poem. Change the pronouns (he to she) and it’s the story of a younger me. Always on the wrong end of the strings.

  34. Why do people believe the words and not the past of someone? Been there done that twice. My 3rd husband just wasn’t a happy or positive person. We lasted 13 years but I really don’t want to complain. Andrew, you found a good match and are smart enough to place value on Allie as your loving wife. This is why you have a lot of women commenting! 😉
