Forever Love
Cold shivers accompanied me in my cruel dark loneliness.
For so long I have loved her from afar.
Angelica returns with white rose in hand, sad eyes seeking solace. She needs love, yet, she never notices me.
Unrequited love is killing me.
If only the breeze could carry my whispers as it whips through her long brown hair.
Baby, I love you forever.
A lifeless existence, to love without feeling loved.
Angelica needs me to return happiness to her life.
Perhaps…
As she sighs, I feel the hollow ache in her breast as she rests the rose upon my grave.
.
.
After reading many 100 word stories here in WordPress, I decide to take a shot at it myself.
It’s wonderful, the grief is palpable…

I had to know so I looked it up, a drabble is an exactly 100 word story, excluding the title. You’re welcome!

I really like this. It reminds me of a poem I wrote. For some reason, I am fascinated by what we may see and what thoughts we may have after we’re gone.

Me too. I used to watch “The Ghost Whisperer,” where all these dead people hung around trying to close the loose ends of their life. And I imgaine it like that. A cold agony where we miss our loved ones. Thank you.

No? What is a drabble? I thought it was called micro fiction or flash fiction.
LikeLike
According to Mr Wiki… ‘A Drabble is a short work of fiction of around one hundred words in length.[1][2][3][4] The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author’s ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.’
So… 100 Word Flash Fiction. It is a term not many use, but I like it. Poetry has so many titles for different lengths and types. I think it is a good definition, for it does test one’s writing muscles to create a story with a beginning, a middle and an end in 100 words.

Thank you for this informative comment. Yes, it is a challenge to come up with a story as you say, with beginning, middle, and end. All in 100 words. I want to try it again. Have you written any? Again, thanks for sharing this with me.

Morning my lonely author.
I couldn’t decide where to write to you as I think I am clogging up your posts with comments. On the ones with like 300+ comments, I can barely type a word a minute, it’s so slow!
Anyway.
Are you okay?
Emailed you earlier but no rush for that, ever.
I just said at the end of the email that today I am feeling very unfiltered and uncensored and I can’t do anything about it so feel free to take advantage lol.
I have three questions for you today
