Writing To Forget
The beautiful woman
sat at the empty bar
lost in deep thought.
Why was she there
trying to remember
or drinking to forget
I recognize her sadness
It plagues my dark eyes
causing deepest thoughts
as I quietly pen my words.
Am I trying to remember
or am I writing to forget

Nice, the duality of this is what I liked.
And it evoked the feeling of noticing someone in a public space, and trying decipher them.

I’m definitely not this woman now. But many decades ago, there was a shade of me in your words. We never entirely forget.

This is an important question:
We live to remember or we live to forget?
Then i ask, Is possible to do both in the same time?

You really have a unique gifted way of expressing raw emotions, so accurately, that I can’t help to either relate to a feeling that I could never express with my own words . A stunner
