massage of poetry
The gentle scaffolding of her verses
Construct the sweetest inspirations
As goosebumps blossomed over me
Her words rubbed my hard muscles
Like an inspiring key that unlocked
Every hidden secret of my anatomy
Soft syllables stroked sweet sensations
Sending me to the point of no return
as her metaphors caressed me to ecstasy
My muse is a masseuse of touching balladry
For no man could ever resist her charms
After her sensual massage of poetry
Bless your hands, mind and your muse! Very beautiful & deep! Your poems massage the depths of my soul. Thank you!

And Kaboom – everything ruined. Thus I must love her from afar.

Good afternoon, Drew. Thousands of apologies for being late again.
Wow! What a poem! Words touching the body. The metaphor here is beyond beautiful. Reading your poem makes me feel like I discovered a diamond in a sea of shuttered glass. For this is what your poem is: a gem which shines; light touching souls and helping them bloom; softy whispers on the skin.
May your inspiration stay with you forever!

UGH…..with all of the glorious and romantic places to visit (Rio, Màlaga, Venice, Greece), you end up in D.C. (the city of eternal political gridlock). No, not inspiring at all. A city not even worthy your presence.
Bewitched…. enchanting compliment, Thanks.
Relax. Play some soft music. Have a coffee with a decadent pastry. Get inspired. Smiling. Cuidate.

A scented oil, and
Strong fingers
Penetrate to your bones.
Pearls on a string
Bead after bead, like a
Wind, a gentle breeze
Around the neck of
An unsuspecting mermaid
Swim freely.
The ocean’s proud
Curled white tipped waves pound
The shore, insisting
Who is better to wear
Pearls?
You will only sell them for money!
The treasured one will
Imbue your aches with
Honey.

This is gorgeous. Dropping poetry on me, huh. You amazed me with this perfect little poem.
Why don’t you post poetry on your blog?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Well, I have a writing blog. (Queen’s end) However, the writing mood doesn’t always strike me, and when it does, it’s not always a poem. I’ve written 2 books, 5 screenplays & a TV Series. I’ve self pubbed 1 book, and it seems a bit for the birds.
I’ve thought of combining my writing blog with my street art blog. I might do it, but I like to keep things separate.
In the end , making the Art Gowns is the most fun and uber ultra satisfying. I have my other blogs so I can enjoy the blog world between Art Gowns(3-6 months to make a gown) I’ve started doing sketches of the Art Gowns – Art Gowns Art & Update posts – some of those have a guest poet, that helps fill in the time in between, a bit.
I tried to keep the answer short. 🧐
LikeLiked by 1 person
Seperate is probably better. I had no idea you wrote so much. How do you find the title to do all of this…gowns, searching for murals, writing, blogging.
Are you a vampire? You do sleep. don’t you.
LOL . It was short enough . Thanks

Oh my gosh! I LOVE the way you describe your Muse, Drew! I myself am now covered in goosebumps. I never equated a Muse with a massage and you’ve got me thinking about that “image” right now. Incredible and powerful piece that I absolutely enjoyed and understood as well. “Something” takes over me, both with my camera and my writing and I just KNOW there is a Higher Source guiding me. As it would seem holds true for you too!! Yowza! What an evocative way to spend “time” listening and being with a Muse. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Well, I doubt its me….most men when they meet me in person are either repulsed or interested, most when I was younger found me irresistable physicly, but now that Im older I can pretty much have any man I want….. , but the fact is I dont want most of them (at least not in America).

Why are you so harsh on yourself?
If you are irrestible, when that is a good thing. Don’t want an American? LOL

I *was* back then…..irresistable to most. Few turned me down. I think now I get heart break after heart break because they see Im just not down to earth like most women are. Im more….a lot more controlling than they want me to be and have a temper, but I find that even though I dont consider myself to be *that* attractive anymore, men fall easy.

I can relate to the almost physical sensation of reading/hearing powerful prose. I experience this often with some of my favorite authors, just recently Ken Liu in his introduction to Paper Menagerie. It left me with the same jolt of energy and connection I’d feel as in intimacy. Comparing a poem to a massage is brilliant. I look forward to reading more!
